From 16 to 25 december 1989 romanians fought against communist regime. Romanian revolution was the only violent revolution from the communist bloc, resulting hundreds of dead people and finally, the execution of the dictator and his wife, Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu, in the Christmas day. The revolution started at Timisoara at 16 december.After the mass meeting made by Ceausescu at Bucharest,21 december, a bariccade was formed against the regime. Ceausescu ran away at 22 december from Bucharest by helicopter, and he and his wife reached at Targoviste, where they received the death sentence, at 25 december.
